    tried different media player...all play the avi movies slow.
    when I play avi movies, I can notice the slowness of the movie and audio is a good 6 seconds ahead of the picture at times.

    I know avi movie doesn't play too well or fast, any way to solve it? tried uninstalling and installing all available codecs but to no avail

    Windows Media Player is the worst for me at playing AVI... VLC is ok but then there's still a slight 1/2 second delay that you can notice and it's too dark. Media Player Classic has software conflicts with the rest of my programs so I gave that up.
