Hey all. I have a new blu ray player/burner, but I am getting very slow and choppy playback from it. It's the first Blu Ray player I have had, so forgive me if I am missing something simple here to get the discs to play correctly. I have the LG BH12lS38 burner/player using Cyberlink PowerDVD 9 to play the BD but it is just running very, very slowly and choppy. My specs are:
Windows Ultimate
Intel Core Duo E8400 3 gHz
8 GB ram
Nvidia Geforce 570
I also installed the community codec pack, but did not see a difference in the playback performance.
Am I missing something here? I think my system should be able to run Blu Ray movies, right? Any help would be appreciated.

Your PC's hardware is up to the task so my guess is too many tasks going on and PowerDVD, turn off anything running in the background and install ArcSoft TotalMedia.

Thanks for the welcome. I turned off some background stuff and PowerDvd was still just chugging away at about 10 frames every few seconds. Arcsoft, though, worked beautifully! Thanks for the recommendation. I am not sure what PowerDvd is doing, but it is not a good program for my computer. Thanks again!
