New question, didn't feel like making another topic...
when i try to render a motion menu to show my dfx effects, i get this error...
any idea why or what i can do to fix it from seeing that?

I can answer the first question. If you click with the left mouse button on the preview window, you can drag a screenshot from the preview into your image assets.

If you then render it as a motion menu, you'll be given the options to render the thumbnail as a motion scene on the menu.

Ok, the 2 menus that i dind't do menu switching for... rendered just fine. My question now, is how to unswitch if possible, those first 2 menu's that i "menu switched"

Select them in the projects window (hilight) and hit the DEL key on your keyboard.
Render the motion as an avi, then encode in tmpgenc (or whatever).
If DLP doesn't recognize your mpeg-2 encoder engine, it won't allow mpeg-2 encoded menus, and you get that error.Cheers, Jim
