    Hi jarko,

One of the following may do the trick:

    FileMerger
    VideoReDo

    There may be others...

What are you trying to do by merging the two SVCD files?

  4. I have dvd/mpeg/vcd/svcd player and I want to put these 2 svcd files on dvd and play them as a one movie file. I know that I can convert to different format and play them on dvd player but I think that it will be too complicated and time consuming

Sounds like you are talking about a data dvd. Then you can merge the files with the programs mentioned, Filemerger or VideoReDo. (Though I have never tried the second one) This will likely not work on many players. Authoring to DVD format would make the video more standard.

But give it a try. If the player will work with just MPEG files, you may be OK.

If you're doing a Video DVD, there's no point in joining before authoring, as that's done in the authoring stage (using TMPGEnc DVD Author)

If you have 2 SVCDs, then you can use SVCD2DVD. This will create 2 DVD compliant MPGs which you can use in your authoring program.

If the SCVDs are physically on 2 CDs. Then extract them as BIN files or use ISObuster to extract the raw MPGs.

I'm sure there guides on this site for SVCD2DVD

    Hope this helps

Check out the various subtitle tools in the "Tools" section. Subtitle Workshop might be one worth looking at...

  12. My movie files played on my standalone Mpeg-4, Divx, Svcd, Vcd player (Vsonic L 1030 ) but doesn't matter what format are my subtitle they don't work. When I play Dvd movie of course I see subtitles.
Can someone tell if there is possible to put merge movie file with subtitles to one file ?

Yes, permanent subs for mpeg1 (VCD), mpeg2 (SVCD or DVD) and AVI
Switchable subs for mpeg2 (SVCD in rare cases - not supported by many players) and DVD

Like I said - for a DVD this is done during the authoring stage, becoming part of the VOB file(s). For "all" other formats they have to be rendered onto the video itself during encoding. Some AVI filters/players can add separate subtitles.

I thought we were past this: It's never necessary to join the source material before authoring as DVD. Easiest way to author a "2 source file", 1 movie DVD with subs, is to use DVD-Lab Pro
Create 2 movies. Have movie1 link to movie2, so that movie2 starts playing right after movie1 ends. (It's just one movie, but since it's in 2 parts, DVD-Lab will treat it as 2 movies)
Add the subs (.srt is easiest) for source file 1 to movie1, repeat for movie2.
    Done.

Search for "subtitles" in the guides section. I believe there's loads - one (or more) should match what you're after.

There's no standardized way to do this, that doesn't involve reencoding the video. In general terms:
Load the source video in a video editor (VirtualDub or AviSynth), add the subs with a filter. For AVI output, encode using VirtualDub, for mpeg output, frameserve to your fav mpeg encoder.
