  1. For my third installment:

    http://www.nydailynews.com/front/story/260440p-222920c.html

The fingerprints, allegedly found in a copy of Barely Legal magazine, could help bolster the boy's claim that Jackson used porno mags to get him aroused, according to a story in this week's National Enquirer.
    Also interesting:

Shocker, did you read the source for this story? Its the National Inquirer. This story probably ran in between the 2 ton baby and the latest Elvis sighting.

I'm no fan of Michael Jackson, but the National Enquirer is no source for anything rational. I would almost bet they have published at least one article linking MJ to flying saucers or aliens. (Among other things)

The Enquirer doesn't do that kind of stuff anymore. You are thinking of the Weekly World News.

In fact, the Enquirer broke one very famous story- that of OJ Simpson's Bruno Magli shoes.

I'm pretty sure I saw a UFO on the cover of the latest National Enquirer. Maybe they have become more responsible with their reporting, but if so that's only because it can't get any worse. The mag is entertainment, not news.

They occasionally do get a big break simply because they have alot of money to throw around but I'd say about 99% of what they report is just made up.

  7. I agree National Enquirer is not a credible source, however, Court TV is covering this same story (as I type this).

    FOX News?

CNN ... I'll bite. Seems real at this point.

I don't care where I hear something "first".
Only reliability matters. CNN is reliable.

    Good job, SM.

Shocker Milwaukee no one in this thread suggested that the story wasn't true, only that the Inquirer's reporting of it meant nothing until verified by a credible source. Like I said in response to your PM, I still bet this ad ran in between two completely and obviously fictional ads.

CNN reliable??? Are you kidding? The same CNN that admitted they covered up Saddam's atrocities so they wouldn't lose their Baghdad bureau?

    No politics.

My beef with FOX is they pretend "American Idol" is worthy of daily news coverage.

Keep in mind that almost all "NEWS" is entertainment and the motive for the publishers to put out the "NEWS" is to make money. Almost all news is slanted, it is almost impossible for a human to convey a story without putting a slant on it. Without an appeal to your emotion "NEWS" would be as boring as reading the phonebook and this would not sell. Do consider the source, the subject, the possible motive of the publisher, and what if any impact any of this really has on your life before making decisions or taking actions.

Reporters are not "GODS" whos' words must be taken as they are, they are salesmen trying to make money! Buyers beware!

Just a mild rant on a minor pet peeve of mine. (Now back to your scheadualed programming)

Zapper there is quite a huge difference between unavoidable media bias and spin and what the Enquirer does. It is a tabloid plain and simple. Yes they run truthful stories too, but they also make up obviously fake stories and alter pictures. Anyone who says otherwise hasn't seen the Enquirer then, because the front cover consistently has ludicrous stories which are obviously completely fictional and intended to be viewed as such.

Who, What, Where, When, How and most important Wow! Was drilled into me for half a year before I got out of the game. I went into it thinking that journalist were of a higher standard, but quickly found out that editors and puplishers had different intentions and if you were to stay you had to play by their rules. Not that I was any good at journalism or anything and I am all for capitolism and a product has to sell. But for most journalist that pretend that they are holier than thou and that "NEWS" is a sacred profession, let it be known that I have seen the inner workings of the "NEWS" room and I know that in almost all cases it is about money. What will sell. What is the "WOW"

I have no doubt that there are a few pure "NEWS" reporters out there but I can't think of any off hand. And I have to admit that I am sucked into a story by a good lead paragraph (The "Wow" included) but somehow by the time I get to the end of the story I always seem to realize that I have been had.

As for our boy MJ. If even half of what has been printed is true, he is one sick puppy. His stardom and money has been used to sheild him instead of treating him. I say treatment to be kind to those that think these kinds of sickness' can be treated, but my treatment for him would be nearly instant and definitely permanent. Even a bunch of low life construction workers after telling all of the latest Jackson jokes and stories hang or shake their heads in disbelief that he still has access to children and that others would help him find new victoms.

    http://thesmokinggun.com/archive/010605jackson.html

If the harrowing and deeply disturbing allegations in these documents are true, Jackson is a textbook pedophile, a 46-year-old predator who plied children with wine, vodka, tequila, Jim Beam whiskey, and Bacardi rum. A man who gave boys nicknames like Doo Doo Head and Blowhole and then quizzed them about whether they masturbated and if "white stuff" came out. A man who conducted drinking games with minors and surfed porn with them on a laptop in his Neverland Ranch bedroom, noting that if anyone asked what they were looking at, the kids should just say they were watching "The Simpsons." A man who frequently talked sex with his little companions and explained that "boys have to masturbate or they go crazy." A man who told one pajama-clad boy that he wanted to show him how to "jack off." When the tipsy child declined the demonstration, Jackson announced, "I'll do it for you," and buried his hand in the boy's Hanes briefs, size small. And a man who emphasized to his little friends that these activities were "their little secret" and should not be disclosed to anyone, even if a gun was at their head.

(not really ...no surprise here). He just amazes me. What sickens me is the huge fan base that he still enjoys. They don't want the issue muddled by facts ...they love Jacko and it's OK that he's emotionally scarred these kids and possibly helped some of them along into the wondrous world of perv-dom

I'd mention what I'd like to do to him, but I'd be repeating myself ....
