Hello, i ripped dvd to my hd.. & im trying to burn it back to dvd, but I'm unable to because it says the file is too big to fit on the dvd. (using nero 6). The files are still in vob format.. but how do i make them smaller to fit on the disc? Can i use smartripper to make them smaller?

    xxxjoxxx,
It sounds like you ripped a DVD-9 to your harddisk and are now trying to burn them to a DVD-5. It other words you can not fit 8.5Gb worth of data in a box only sized for 4.7Gb without manipulating the data first.
I would suggest running the ripped files through DVDShrink first to get them to the right size then burn with your favorite app.
If the DVD you ripped was not a DVD-9, then a few more details would be helpful.
