Hey! I got this player few months ago and it works fine, I'm not that happy with the picture quality tho! But I have another problem with it! The picture seems cropped when played on TV! When I play the same dvd on my comp, the picture is much larger! I use s-video cable and sony 32" wega tv! does anyone know why is this happening? I checked this on my bros 642 and it was the same! Please help! Thanks!!!

Overscan is a property of your TV, not the player. Everything you've ever seen on your TV has been overscanned. You just never noticed with your other DVD player. View a DVD on your computer and on your TV. You'll see more of the picture on your computer.

The DVD player plays a part in pixel cropping. Here is a review of the 642 that quanitates it.

Even though they rag on it, the 642 seems like a decent player if you aren't using progressive, especially for the price.
