  1. Hi,

Could anybody tell me why some AVI codecs are not available in VirtualDub for capturing?

I have (successfully) done some captures with the MJPEG Encoder (PICVideo MJPEG Compressor from Pegasus Imaging) (GSpot says the codec is still there), but for some reasons it now doesn't show up in the "Video... Compression" settings in VirtualDub (neither in the normal mode nor in the capture mode) anymore.

As MJPEG for me was a good compromise between quality and file size for temporary AVI files, I really would like to have it back in VirtualDub.

    Any ideas anyone? Thanks.

  3. Thanks. I just wonder why I didn't come up with this simple idea on my own...

(Maybe, because GSpot showed the codec still in the "installed codecs" list and the two other codecs from Pegasus Imaging that I use were still there...).

  4. I found that I have to reinstall the picvideo codec about once a month. No idea why it just disappears
