DVD's as 4.7 gig data disks

Hello All, First Post, Need Help

The other day I decided to back up a couple of old C drives to dvd's, they were only 6 gig's each. So I connected each in turn to my main computer and copied what I wanted from each to its own directory on my HD (oldc1 and oldc2) I ended up with one directory about 2.5 g and one about 2 g. OK so next a put in a dvd-rw into the dvd burner picked one of the directorys and it burned fine, did it again with the other directory same thing no problem. Being a bit anal about losing stuff I decided to make 2nd copies of each (had a HD crash and lost everything, I now back up everything) So where the RW's worked fine I decided to burn the 2nd copies on dvd-r's, in both cases the multisession screen came up and every time I try it seems to freeze at between 84 and 94 percent. I should be able to copy both directories to 1 dvd both together are only about 4.5 gigs but I can't seem to get even one are a -r dvd. I have now created a ste of 4 coasters. Please Help !!!! Everything else seems to work fine, I have burned movies to the -r's with no problem.........

I have a new lg 16x dual layer dvd burner
was using fuji 4x dvd's with nero 6

Try having Nero create an image file on your HD first and then burn the image to DVD-R.
