    MacTheRipper 2.6.6 was just released with the following improvements:

    •*Improves prescanning to fix crashing problems on certain DVDs
    • Faster prescanning by consolidating code into fewer passes to reduce seeking

  3. Question: Every time I use MTR and then burn with Toast - and does a full "compare" it says the .ifo and .bup files are altered. Why?

    the files are probably modified due to RCE, or Region Coding
    being re-set. I'm not to sure, but de-Macrovisioning it
    wouldn't modify the IFO? WW or GB would know though....

    Yes TJ you are correct , they get patched for UOPS , Region , RCE , and creator data.

    Then again , it sounds like toast messing with your ifo's...

    No - I meant they are changed by Toast. Doing a compare between the ripped files on the hard drive and the burned DVD always tells me the .ifo and .bup files are altered by Toast.

    They are probably altered by MTR in the first place, but burning those altered files with Toast shouldn't make them change (again) ?
