MactheRipper - Solutions and alternatives?

Hey there. I recently download MTR and DVD2oneX2 for backing up dvds. It worked grea the first four times, then when I put in an anime box set disc I had bought at best buy, it said the VOb was made deliberatly with errors ad asked to pad or delete it. I padded it and when I went to compress it in X2, it stopped halfway through.

My questions:
How can I fix this VOB problem (if possible)? Why is this happening?
Are there other (descent) rippers for Mac that I can convert to working, quality DVDs? I don't mind spending (a little) money, but I want to make sure it works.

You are using an old version of MTR. MTR 2.6.6 doesn't work on most of the newer discs. The newest one (right now) is MTR 3.0 R14m. If you want to update, go to RipDifferent.com and read Annoucenments #1 and #2 in the MacTheRipper Forum.
