    I have a two minute video clip (the Star Wars trailer) that's 90MB I'd like to convert it to something smaller that'll still look good. Anything free that can do this in a reasonable amount of time with reasonable quality?

    Search under guides for "mpeg to DivX" or "mpeg to XviD"

    You can also reduce the audio & video bitrates of your mpeg2 file by re-encoding. Reduce the video bitrate to the point where the quality is "acceptable" to you. You can use TMPGEnc for that.
