I am interested in getting a drive that will read DVD-RAM and will also support disc quality scanning in CDSpeed. It appears as though the Pioneer 109 works for this but I have some reservations. First it appears as though it will only read at 2X and second I have not seen any scans actually run on the Pioneer. Has anyone had good luck with Pioneer scans? Is there any other option I can get? LG drives look much better but I would lose scanning.
I am ready to junk my Liteon as it only functions as a scanner and I really could use RAM reading.
Much thanks.

Still a few bugs in the system...

The LG wasn't a very good RAM reader, it worked but chocked on some discs. The Toshiba is an excellent reader that does RAM, but it doesn't scan.
