DVDx doesn't start encoding after pressing encode...

Hi,
DVDx doesn't start encoding after pressing encode. Yesterday I encoded my first film with DVDx 1.6 and all worked fine. But now I want to encode the same film once more, because I didn't use a good bitrate.
So, I canceled the old AVI-File from my HDD and choosed a better bitrate and wanted to start encoding again. But after
pressing encode DVDx doesn't start. But there is no Error-Message. It simply doesn't start.
All other adjustments are the same as before.
I have the problem only at using the mpeg4 codec. I'm using DivX4.11. Encoding VCD or SVCD is no problem.
Other films I can't encode, too! Only the first time encoding worked.
I tried the same as described before with another Win-installation on another HDD but at the same Computer.
The same problem appeared...
Does someone know this problem?

uninstall the codec and reinstall it ...that should help
