  1. Hi ,

I'm so disappointed : after more than 50h00 of work, I've a crash with DVDLab whatever I do (I've even tried to restart my computer)
When I launch compilation, it crash (15 triess, same crash report)

When I try with few materials (2 sub-menus and 4 slideshows), it works

I've even tried with DVDLabPro (2 different versions). Same crash report :

I can onlt suggest two things.

    1. Download the latest updates for DVD Lab Pro and try again

    2. Check out the mediachance forums at http://www.mmbforums.com/phpbb/ and look for your problem or post a question there. The author checks these regularly and it's the best place to go for technical issues with the product.

  3. Thank you but :

    1. I've tried 3 different versions of DVDLab

    -usual DVDLabPro

    2. I sent to Mediachance the problem

  5. What are your computer specs? DVD-Lab takes up a lot of resources when it runs

  6. Windows XP Pro
1.2 GHz processor and I think 128 or 256 Mo RAM

I read it was created for Windows 98 in the beginning so it should work correctly on my computer, should'nt it?

  7. I've just tried on another ordi : same thing!!!!!!!

What kind of shit is this software?!

When I launch compilation, I see:
    slide 1/1
    slide 1/2
    slide 1/1
    slide 1/3
    slide 2/2
    slide 1/1
    slide 1/2....................

    and crash after 3 minutes

    I won't recommand DVDLab...

  8. Not necessarily. If you're trying to run DVD Lab on only a 1.2 Ghz processor and possibly 128mb of RAM, you're bound to have problems. Like I posted before, DVDLab eats up a LOT of resources when it's running. DVD Lab was created in 2001, so no, it wasn't maybe specifically for Win 98 in the beginning, especially with a 4GB file size limit in Win 98.

In reference your complilation error, do you have any motion menus in your project? If so, remove all of them and recompile, adding each one at a time until you get the crash again. 9 time out of 10, there's something wrong with the video or audio in the motion menu.

  9. Especially if you used DVDLab's internal mpeg creator. Better to use it's avi creator, then encode separately.

I don't know how it does with Slideshows (as it appears you are doing slide shows).

What are the picture resolutions you are using?

I have used DVD Lab Pro to create slide shows without any problems, however I prep the slides to the correct size first in photoshop. Generally though, I create slide shows elsewhere and bring them in as video assets.

Yeah...but if I must take each slide and resize it with Photoshop, it will take a lot of time.
My images have many different sizes, but I think it is taken care by DVDLab !

Same thing for the encoding elsewhere and I don't understand very well this :

I added transition between menus but even when I didn't, it crashed anyway.

For equinox137, I tried yesterday with a most recent computer (bought 2 months ago!) : 1.5 Ghz and 512 Mo RAM so it isn't the problem here.

It's very usual to have different sizes in slideshows (and I ask each time to fit the screen)

  14. I 've just find the problem : I thought DVDLab will associate Sub-menus with titles and slideshows with chapters but it didnt'.
(I found this by deleting 80% of my project : I keep just the root-menu, and sub-menu1-1 and sub-menu 2-2 each one with its 10 slideshows and it worked; so I saw it when I use a DVD-payer)

It seems there is no solution to choose what is a title, and what is a chapter, am I wrong?

We can't do nothing with the green title symbol : it can just be linked with THE root-menu

Is there a solution to tell DVDLab to sort titles and chapters?
