I want to duplicate the type of menu on some of my tv episode dvd's. Miami Vice and the Munsters both come up with episode selections then when you choose, a title page with a picture background and text containing episode synopsis, cast, airdate, etc comes up. There are buttons to take you back to the list or onto the episode. I want to do this on some of my captured mpegs. I want to be able to insert a background picture with text, add my own text to pictures without, and have buttons to choose "back to list" or "play". I have been using ulead dvd movie factory which I bought several years ago and it works great for what I've been doing, just basic authoring--scene selections and burning. I just acquired movie factory 3se which came with my new usb capture device. I can't find anything in either to do this. I also have tmpgenc dvd author 1.5.13.44 but I'm not very familiar with it and scanned through it --didn't see anything there either. I have easy cd & dvd creator also. Wasn't impressed with it either. What do I have to do to get this to happen preferably with free software. Am I missing the link to do it with the stuff I have? Thanks.

It is easily possible with Gui for dvdauthor (freeware), but you will need a little bit of efford to "learn" how to do it. Same applies for other authoring software like dvdauthorgui (also free), dvdlab...
