  1. guys, i'm trying to back up some of my dvds and as i know if they ar dvd9 i simply use blank dvd9 and DVDecrypter to "read ISO/write ISO" to copy it (my burner can write dvd9)

but my problem is right now, i have a disc that seems to be too big for dvd9, i don't know if it will fit, because i can't even tell if this disc is a dvd9 in the first place, it contains some what near the limit of a dvd9...... i'll copy and paste the disc info from DVDecrypter just in case....

    Disc Information:
    Status: Complete
    Erasable: No
    Sessions: 1
    Sectors: 4,169,874
    Size: 8,539,901,952 bytes
    Time: 926:40:24 (MM:SS:FF)

    Physical Format Information (Last Recorded):
    Book Type: DVD-ROM
    Part Version: 1
    Disc Size: 120mm
    Maximum Read Rate: 10.08Mbps
    Number of Layers: 2
Track Path: Opposite Track Path (OTP)
    Linear Density: 0.293 um/bit
    Track Density: 0.74 um/track
First Physical Sector of Data Area: 196,608
Last Physical Sector of Data Area: 16,580,593
Last Physical Sector in Layer 0: 2,281,551

so will it fit in normal dvd9 with read ISO write ISO??? or what do i need to do, i don't really want to compress it..... btw, i'm wondering does the track path effect the way i write it?? at all?? or can i just ignore it?
    it's me....

  2. Sounds like it'll fit. You gotta remember 1GB = 1,073,741,824 bytes.

  3. o...... because it reads it has 8,338,904 KB in it in file mode of DVDecrypter.... and i checked with DVDshrink, it saids it'll need compression 99.7% even if i choose output as DVD9, and not 100%, so that kinda worried me.......

    so it will fit????
    it's me....

even though your burner can write to dvd9, do you actually have the dual layer media to write to?

  5. DVDShrink use a safety zone when shrinking datas.

DVD5 are 4489MB but by default DVDShrink use 4464 MB.
