  1. Help....

I have a friend (for real not me) who would like to edit his home made DVD's. There are scenes he wants to cut out of the the movies. He doesn't have the original DV from the camcorder. I know that these are VOB files and that it is not as "friendly" to edit as DV video.

What would be the simplest way for him to do this?
Is there a free software for the editing?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks!

  4. Using MPEG-VCR would you have to rip the VOB files to your hard drive first before editing them?
