Hi
I want to buy a Dell 30" lcd tv which only has NTSC tuner
but I want to use it in Europe which is PAL,
so how can I use that lcd tv for tv and dvd player
first, I head that there are some converter that converts PAL signals to NTSC.
Are those converters good for digital signals? what to consider when buying those converter
second, there are some players which are multi sistem(ntsc and pal), so I guess I can watch any dvd since those dvd players will convert to ntsc,
but I also have some suspicous about those players, is the sonversion also good on those players.

Plain truth?
You will not be able to use that TV here in Europe unless it has an extra auxiliary input. An NTSC tuner in PAL-land is useless.
By using the aux. input (if it has one) you will need to use a European VCR as your TV Tuner....then input to the TV via the aux. input.
Only some DVD Players actually do a true NTSC to PAL(or vise versa) conversion. Most (like one of mine) will create a "quasi" signal....a signal that will basically fool the TV into displaying the signal.
