Does COKEII=NewCOKE? I live in an area where they don't sell Coke II.

Is Coke II just New Coke? or is actually a third type of Coke.

I noticed it's cheaper than Coke Classic. Why?

Anybody tried the cherry vanilla Dr. Pepper?

Mainly just tastes like Dr. Pepper. Only slightly different.

They still sell Coke II? It is cheaper but also doesn't taste as good as Classic. Don't know whether Coke II = new Coke. I'm too young to know anything about that. I remember Coke II having a taste similar to RC Cola.

Hey, hey. Nobody's dissing the RC. I lived a large chunk of my life a block away from the plant. Just comparing the taste. I haven't seen Coke II in like ten years, though. Didn't know they still made it.

I am not talking about C2, Coke II is different.

I first saw Coke II in 92 when I went to visit fam in IL. Last time I saw Coke II was like 1998 I haven't been to IL in a while.

    Coke II is cheap Coke

    C2 is low carb Coke

I heard that in Texas they call every kind of pop coke, like give me a sprite coke or give me a grape coke.

Similar to the way other regions use pop or soda.

  11. This is what I've been told... I assume it's true but have no way of knowing...

Coke II / New Coke was Coca Cola's attempt to compete with Pepsi. In the blindfolded taste tests they did, almost everyone picked Pepsi over Coke, but in the taste tests where people could see what they were choosing, almost everyone picked Coke over Pepsi (because of brand recognition). So, Coke attempted to create something that tasted more like Pepsi. That's where Coke II came in. Unfortunately for Coca Cola, most people hated the new Coke, so they switched back to "Classic Coke".

On an interesting side note, when I was in high school we had Coke machines and Pepsi machines in our school. We also had a huge marquee sign above our football stadium. One year (my senior year I think?) we all came back from summer break to find that all the Pepsi machines were gone and now there were only Coke machines. According to one of my teachers, our marquee sign was broken and would have cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to fix. He said that Coke approached the school and said they would fix it for free if they would take out all the Pepsi machines.

Futurama was good show, I wish there was more than fours seasons.

I love the Parallel Universe Episode. With the gold Bender. That episode was actually really good Sci Fi. a lot better than most of the stuff they call Sci Fi on the Sci Fi channel.

The order of that list and the ones on the DVDs are different. I guess on the DVD they go by the production number. Its weird that the season 5 episodes are on the volume 4 DVD.

That happened to me too back in high school. We had Dr. Pepper all they way up to my senior year. Then Coke made them switch that last year. Gave a new sign, and redid the track. Man, was I pissed off about it. HOWEVER the teacher lounge kept Dr Pepper, so I'd sneak in there when I could. They also raised prices.

I don't remember New Coke all that well (it has been 20+ years) ... except for the fact that it sucked. It reminded me of prunes or cranberry sauce for some reason. Sort of icky sweet flavor.

Stick with Classic, it's the best. Also, C2 tastes less like DIET than Pepsi EDGE does. I have no idea why they still make Coke II, what a waste.

First there was Coke. Then they tried to put that New Coke crap over on us. Then they had Classic Coke. Then New Coke just went away. So Classic Coke kinda went back to being the original Coke, replacing the New Coke as the New Coke, albeit with the Old Coke, aka the Classic Coke. Or some shit like that. I think.

    Maybe.

    Or not.

The new coke got canned(no pun intended) by the public and was scrapped.

Coca-Cola C2 is its new soda with half the sugar, carbs and calories of regular colas.

the switch from cane sugar to corn syrup in north america really wrecked the the taste of all the cokes ..

though cane suger still used in cuba, mexico , south america and parts of asia ...

Funny thing about the Pepsi challenge. I took it when I was a teen. The Pepsi was colder than the Coke! So of course the general public thought that the Pepsi tasted better.
Now if you want to mix drinks that use cola and booze that is where RC comes in great. It is so sweet that you can hardly cut the flavor. To me Pepsi always seemed to have a sand aftertaste to it. IMO Coke out of a glass bottle is the best, but a bit strong on the fizz. I pour it on ice just enough to help kill the fizz. My favorite drink though is Sweet iced tea w/ lemon and a straw. I drink a gallon a day unless I am knocked out! 8)
