    Circuit City has those Verbatim 4x with the annoying digital movie 'reel imprint' design that no one wants anymore :-}
    25 for 9.99after rebate
    I doubt any of 'em are manufactured in Japan anymore, tho!

    Verbatim has never manufactured any of its 4x media in Japan. Were you talking about the TDKs? If so there should be plenty of TDK 8x +Rs made in Japan (YUDEN000T02) available.

    100% sure; I have a spindle myself. Just look for a "Made in Japan" sticker on 8x TDK DVD+R 50 disc spindles. It will be placed on the label over where "Made in Taiwan" is printed, but don't let that bother you any. TDK was probably too lazy to print all new labels for the TY spindles.

    If you need any more reassurance:

  7. Bought 4 packs. Most of them had the made in Japan sticker covered over the Tawian; however, there were Taiwan ones there as well. Excellent deal on Taiyo Uden media. I would prefer the -R so that I can use it w/ my standalone recorder, but for PC burning these are fine.

    Well I went rushing to Best Buy to get these, but I was informed the Verbatim not the TDK were the ones for $19.99 (someone has since posted an update in another thread mentioning them).

    No biggie, I'll go back. But it's a spindle of 50 Verbatim that are 19.99 not TDKs. Those were 39.99 for 50...

    P.S.: I did get the super clearance TDK DVD+Rs, 15 for 4.99. Can't beat that.

    Cheers,
    Victoria

    The TDK sale was last week, that's why you couldn't get them for $19.99
