does your player play all format of VCD? There are at least four standards for VCD.

What is the make and model of your player?

If I can find the manual for it then I can determine this.

I have seen players that only play one type of VCD.

    I don't know what you're talking about.

See if you can play your VCD on another player or a PC. It could be a problem with your disc.

Have you recently changed you cdr brand?
Try burning to a cdrw instead of cdr.
If it works, your cdr blanks are dodgy.

  7. No, the VCD play well in PC. This is a recent problem. I was read before that VCD (home recorded) can damage the DVD player. It's that true? Can anyone help me to find my Daewoo Hometheater manual?

    Thnaks.

    Hello,

No a VCD can't damage a dvd player. MANY can play VCD on a cdr or cdrw disc. All that will happen if it doesn't have vcd capability is "NO DISC" will be displayed.

Have you changed your burning program? Some programs burn disks that incompatible with some DVD players.
