Hello,
My mpeg4 standalone player has problems with Xvids depending on the quantity of b-frames used.
With Gspot beta version I can see if an Xvid has b-frames, but for the moment I haven't found the way to know if has 1 or 2 b-frames.
Is there a way to know that?
Thanks in advance.

I think you mean KEYFRAMES or I FRAMES...this is what players search to....1 or 2=crap....you need A LOT more

Thanks for answering.
I meant B-frames.
There's an issue with xvid with b-frames that are played jerky by players like Kiss 1000.
This is more or less the pattern someone found out:
Xvid, 1 bframes, packed: okay
Xvid, 1 bframes, not packed: jerky
Xvid, 2 bframes, packed: okay
Xvid, 2 bframes, not packed: very jerky
I'm just doing some tests with that player and my Xvid disks and wanted to know, if possible, which ones fit the 1 bframes category and which ones the 2 bframes.
I know they have B-vops (b-frames) because Gspot tells me that, but it doesn't tell me if 1 or 2. -
OK, I found the program.
Mpeg4 modifier tells the number of consecutive B-Vops.
