    Hello,

after opening the dvd I use Re-author. In the re-author dialog you can drag the main title to the left and select the audio and subtitle. Then I use backup. This way only the movie with the selected audio and/or subtitle is written to the backup medium. No menus, no extras.

Okay i do everything you do in shrink.

I depart from your method after that.

I use Nero to create an ISO image file with the files.
I then use Decrypter to burn to disc.

I am very much ONE TOOL <---> ONE JOB

But the whole thing is do whatever works....

Do you have any problems with your method? If not there is now real need to change.

    Upto you....

Why use Nero to create an ISO when DVD Shrink can do that?
He's a liar and a murderer, and I say that with all due respect.

  8. No Need to use Nero to create ISO, shink does that for you. Just another program and another step. Just use Decrypter to burn ISO.

  9. I use DVD Decrypter to rip the DVD to my HD without any compression, this way I can watch the DVD in it's original format from my computer which is connected to my TV. If I back it up to DVD, I either use DVD shrink to compress the DVD or I plan to begin buying dual layer discs so that I can bypass having to use compression at all.

I think your current system is sound though, use dvd shrink to rip to your HD, use Nero to burn to DVD.

I have had problems when i use shrink to make ISO.

The autorun doesnt. Decrypter doesnt like the iso..alll sort of odd little things.

so i ahve stuck to using Shrink --> Nero ---> decrypter
