Ive recently used a tool called Roxi-Zap which is to remove all Roxio content from a machine as i recently uninstalled Easy Cd Creator 5 from my machine . Ive recently been told that Roxio wrote the software for the windows cd writing wizard and my guess is ive removed a file or two that i shouldnt have . Its not the end of the world as i have Norton Ghost and can retrieve these files from a backed up image of my drive if only i knew what they were . Can anyone tell me the files required by windows cd writing wizard that were obviously taken out by Rox-Zap (Roxio) . Cheers guys , Steve , Plymouth UK

I don't think windows natively writes to discs... In other words you can't burn a disc unless you have some sort of burning software installed.

XP does..it will only burn DATA discs though (if I remember correctly).

My dads PC burns files to Cd using the CD Writing Wizard and he has got no other copying programs on it . Mine used to work even after i uninstalled Roxio Easy CD Creator but then i foolishly went and ran the Roxi-Zap tool and that was that !!!

FWIW the roxio burn engine is used by xp. You may be able to install that again under windows.
