  1. Cool software. I was reading a guide and it said:TMPGEnc can actually load every video file if you have installed a DirectShow filter and the codec in your system.

    Where does one get the DirectShow filter and the codec they are talking about?

  3. Don't load any more codecs than you need.
    Open your avi's in Gspot and see what codecs you need, then install ONLY those.
    Conflicts can arise when installing codec "packs", or multiple versions of the same one. Xvid vs DivX for example.

  4. I did that. I have the codec required but still am getting dark video preview screeen when I try and encode this .avi. Wierd.
