    I have a .dat video, I just need to take the audio and put it as a .mp3 file!

    Any idea?

    Hello,

    First of all DAT is the wrapper for mpg for VCD video. So you need to extract the mpg file out of it using isobuster.

    After that you can use tmpgenc to extract the audio (file-mpeg tools - demultiplex). From there you can use besweet or any other converter to make an mp3 out of it.

    VCDCutter will directly split a .dat file to an .mv1 and .mp3. It isn't free but it does the job very quickly.
