  1. Can someone point me to a tutorial about DVD structure? I've looked on Yahoo and all that turn up are tutorials on ripping.

I just want to learn more about making menus and the process involved with making the structure (ie. taking episodes from several TV shows and making a menu to choose which episode)

    Thanks for your help guys

The easy way (or at least the way i have done it)

Use DVD Shrink to strip out the episodes that you want.

Use an authoring program to create DVD with menu.

<------ See on the left here under tools / guides to help you

others can suggest the best authoring prog to use......i rarely use one so have no preference

    Hello,

This is a good place to start for info on authoring a dvd:

    https://www.videohelp.com/author

If you want to know the INTERNAL structure of a DVD this has more than you'll ever want to know:

http://www.dvddemystified.com/dvdfaq.html (worth browsing through when you have some time )

Basically you can make a menu as complex or simple as you want. If you backup with dvdshrink you can keep EVERYTHING or reauthor for just the episodes as zworg2 suggested.

Programs like Tmpgenc Dvd Author can accept vobs directly so if you have space left over you can make your own menus from the ripped episodes.

It's really all up to you.
