  1. I have 5 or 6 simpsons episodes on my computer. All of them are .avi(divx) quality around 175mb each. What I want to do is put these on a dvd and have menus, submenus, perhaps music and video in these menus as well. I am fairly new to this so i need help on converting, authoring and designing menus. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated. Just send me to the best how-to guide i guess.

http://members.dodo.net.au/~jimmalenko/AVI2DVD.htm can help you with the converting to MPEG-2 part. Then I'd author in TMPGEnc DVD Author using any of the following guides:

    http://www.dvd-guides.com/guides.php?category=dvdauthor&name=tmpegencdvdauthor
    https://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/172123.php

If you want to do anything else, I suggest you sift through both the CONVERT and AUTHOR sections to your left
    If in doubt, Google it.

  3. RT - I should probably give you some friendly advice regarding subject lines.

A lot of members who may be able to help you pass over the subject lines entitles "Help" or "Problem", or the numerous variations upon that theme. You'll get help faster if your subject line is descriptive of the problem.

Also, it helps people who have the same problem search for and find your thread and therefore their solution.

What Jim suggested is a good route to take. Personally, I'd use TMPGEnc to convert them to DVD MPEG-2 and then TMPGEnc DVD Author to make a DVD out of them. TDA (short for TMPGEnc DVD Author) is pretty simple to use, but doesn't give you more sophisticated menu features and so on.

I hope you own the original DVDs to these .AVIs.

    Good luck!

    Maybe, but it is unclear.

That is why I said bordering instead of flat out warez.
