if i back up my dvd with just the 5.1 ac3 and not the 2 channel ac3, will the sound be ok when i watch it on my stereo tv, or will the sound only work when i watch it on my entertainment center with the 5.1 surround sound??
sorry if this was asked before i couldn't seem to find a answer then searching..

Yes your DVD player will downsample the 5.1 to 2.0. As long as you have the audio going to the TV, you'll be OK.

This is asked several times a week,the only problem is if you use DTS on a player that doesn't have a built-in decoder and you don't have a HT receiver.
