  1. Ok, so I got one of the highly recommended ink systems from jlwsales. I got it maybe a month ago but just ran out of ink. I go to hook up on saturday, and didnt have time to finish putting the supporting bracket on. So I turn on the printer, just try to printing out 1 test sheet and the colors were off w/ lines ect. WHatever, i'd fix it later.

I come back today and two of my big ink containers are COMPLETELY empty! Where did this ink go, I have no idea. How does 200ml of ink just disappear and why did this happen? Is there any way I could get this ink replaced? I dont know what to do here but this sucks.

    Thanks!

  2. By the way its my dark blue and light blue that are totally empty. The airintake design seems very poor. Not only are my tanks empty but I set down the ink carts on the table and one of the air intake filters fell off splashes ink on my desk. None of the filters are secured on, any can fall right off (yes the large side is in the ink tank).

When you first connected up the system to your printer you should have run the head cleaning program a couple of times, to get the ink flowing freely through the tubes. Also the bulk ink containers should be placed next to your printer at the same level. The filters are often a loose fit, they are there to stop any dirt getting into the ink, the system will work ok without them on.
As to your question about where the ink has gone, it can only be inside your printer. If your tanks where at a higher level it could have drained down through the tubes into the print head.

  5. the ink was at maybe an inch or two above the printer, the tubes were pretty much level. after turning my printer upside down ect no ink came out, i guess it just is all dried up in there. do you think it hurt anything?

Now, where do I go to buy replacement ink?

  7. Hmm looking at their bulk inks I am not sure on which size to buy, maybe 4oz cyan and 4oz light magenta?

Also just one more question about the kit itself, was it supposed to come with a support bar to mount on the printer so the tubes dont get in the way (like i've seen in pictures on here) or is that just something people make for themselves?

Set your system up as shown on page one, it does'nt need a support bar. https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=241206&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=rt

  9. i also have the r200 printer and my advice is vist this web site http://www.dpsoftware.com/ and purchase a chip resetter and their 600ml of all 6 inks and then purchase a spare set of ink cartridges of ebay for around £10 then refill your empty cartridges and use the ones you but of ebay as a spare and when one is empty you can replace and refill so you have one in the printer and one spare

this is most cost effictive way
the prices are chip resetter £5:99
    600ml Bulk Ink £19:99
A New Set Of Chip Cartrideges Via Ebay £10

There is Post and Packing To Be Added To The Above
But Once You buy These Then They Should Last Between 6mth to 12mths depending on useage
    hope this helps
if more info needed email me

  10. UTDKING thats not a bad idea but I've already dropped 120$ on this system and am not looking to spend anymore on that besides what its going to cost me to replace these 2 drained inks.
