converting avi to vcd, have sound but no pictures

hello all,
i am trying to convert avi/divx to vcd using tmpgenc. but i only get the sound and have no pictures. what am i doing wrong? i have been reading the help but just don't get it. i am new at this and any help will be greatly appreciated. thank all.

WELL, I WENT TO THE CAPTURE HELP ON THE LEFT AND FOLLOW THE DIRECTION FOR DIVX. IT TOLD ME TO PICK THE VIDEO SOURCE, CHOOSE A TEMPLATE(WHICH I CHOOSE VIDEOCD(PAL)), FOLLOW THE SETTING IT TOLD ME, AND HIT START. AM I SUPPOSE TO SEE THE VIDEO AS IT CONVERT? I CHOSE NORMAL QUALITY BECAUSE IT TOLD ME TO FOR DIVX. AND THAT IS IT. CAN YOU HELP. THANKS.

I don't understand one thing. Are you trying to capture or convert (encode)? You said you went to capture (on the left) but sounds like you want to convert. You should visit the "convert" site thou. Also, what software are you using to "convert" with? Jordan
