hi first time poster here...and iam in some dirt here...
all of the mpegs i have are not corrupted or whatnot, they all are playable...the situation is that some of my mpegs play but some mpegs do no play on windows media player 10....the mpeg file plays on my nero showtime, and mpc but not on bsplayer and wmp10
on wmp10 and bsplayer: the files open but the picture remains black and stays that way even though i skip around the file. the sound is frozen(by the play/stop buttons...the wavy thing)...no sound no picture
no problems with
i understand that i can use different players to play these files, but it really bugs me having something not work.
so far this is what i have done...
- reinstalled wmp10
- reinstalled directx
- copied quartz.dll from a working wmp10
- installed codec packs (k-lite)
- uninstalled codec pack
- installed codecs individually
i think i have to clean out the regestry as i saw from some other posts because of the k-lite codec pack and its codec conflicts but i do no know how to do this....or is it related because of something else?
how can i fix this problem? your input is appreciated
if there is other details that need to be noted ill post asap
thx in advance
