I want to backup my friday the 13th collection. It has 2 movies per disc and each movie is on the seperate layers. So this should mean that each movie should fit a dvd5 perfectly. What I would like to do is keep the menu but blank out the buttons referring to the other movie. For example if I put the 2nd movie in I wanna fix it so the options for the first movie can't even be highlighted. Does anyone have a guide for this ?

I have some more questions about this. These Friday the 13th boxset discs have two movies on each disc. Each movie is on it's own seperate layer so it should fit a dvd5 each movie without compression. I want to keep the menus and just get rid of the vobs from one film then burn then do the same except with the other vobs from the other film, but the menu might be tricky. See the menu at first is given two options like which film to pick. Then after you select one each film has it's own menu. I was wondering if there was a way of using the same menu for both discs but editing the first play thing in the ifo so that it jumps straight to the menu for one of the films instead of showing the main menu where you pick what film. I'm thinking this method of fixing up the menu and getting rid of vobs involves ifoedit and ifoupdate to update the vobs after one set has been taken out. Could someone kinda explain the process a bit better for me? I'm not sure about editing the ifo to jump straight to the menu of my choice on first play, so I need help with this. The ifoupdate thing I'm pretty sure I could to that one. I did it before but so long ago, I gotta see if I still remember what to do. here is the pics of the two menus

And this is the menu you first see upon playing the disc

Ok I took out one set of vobs and now when you select the button for friday the 13th part 8 it does nothing so that is fine. I'm still wondering how to make it no even selectable in menuedit. Now my next problem is this : When you start the dvd it plays vob VTS_02_01.VOB which is a video that says paramount dvd and blah blah. The menu's are located in VTS_03_0.VOB. My problem is I want the first play command upon inserting the disc to skip the paramound video and go straight to the menu instead but not the main menu for the two tracks just the menu for one of the friday the 13th films ( part 7 since it's the set of vobs I left in the video_TS folder), but both menus are in the same vob, so How can I fix this with ifoedit and the jump command ?

Edit: Upon opening vts_03_0.vob in menuedit it list 6 vob ID's. The first and second vob ID's are the main menu where you select which movie. the third vob ID is the chapter menu for the movie. Vob ID 4 is the main menu for the movie ( The thing I want to be displayed during the first play action when inserting the disc). Vob ID 5 is the audio menu for the movie and vob ID 6 is just a frame tht says rated R blah blah. So how would I change the first play item in ifoedit to go straight to the Vob ID 4 that's in the VTs_03_0.vob file? thanks in advance

Well ok looks like I'll just stick with the first menu asking me which movie. I did delete the button for the second film though. I was trying to figure out how to make it skip all the fbi and paramount dvd videos and go straight to the menu but I heard doing this in ifoedit usually makes most disc not play right or screws up the menus. So I figured ok why not take my compilation and just open it up in dvdshrink and replace the fbi warnings and other bs will still frames, Well no prog will open up the VIDEO_TS folder. They all say cannot find vts_04_0.ifo. So It looks like the video_ts.ifo is still saying that title 4 is part of the disc. How can I get around this so I can open this up in dvdshrink to fix the fbi warnings, etc ?
