  5. that is a LOT more helpful than the previous post. Thank you.

I don't think google owns an R200 and has purchased cartridges from the thousands of manufacturers and can therefore offer me advice on which is cheapest and most reliable. But yeah, it was a cool graphic. No doubt, stolen from an AOL chat room somewhere

  6. IMO, p_l 's post was a little on the rude side. I serves no purpose to submit posts like that.

After clicking on p_l 's Google link, hit the "Froogle" button to find the cheapest source.

Personally, I use G&G ink, available from a number of online suppliers. I use my R200 strictly for CD/DVD printing, so I can't vouch for how G&G works for photo printing. I can say that I haven't suffered a single ink clog, and the discs I print look great.

It may have been rude but he does have a point. You should have done some searching b4 posting this question. This forum alone has TONS on threads on ink for the R200...

that said, i get my ink from inkgrabber.com. it works great...

OK, the pic was meant all in good fun. Sorry if it ruffled any feathers.

The link is to a Google search of this forum, which already contains a wealth of information directly pertaining to the question. It's a good place to start, especially when the poster's location is unknown.

  11. I also use megatoners and have never had any problems. They were the cheapest I've ever found at less that $4 per cartridge and free shipping IF you buy like $50 worth.

It's a bit unfair - to be honest. Within the last 6 months, they've had 4 reviews, and a lifetime of only 22. So if only those people who had a problem post a review, then you'll get a bad rating.

I can honestly say I've never had a problem with them. I received my package within a couple of days of ordering w/o a problem. The ink was good quality, haven't had any clogs yet - and I'm on my 3rd set of carts from them. The cart prices have dropped even further - less than $3 per. Time to order again!

It's true that people are more likely to put in a rating if they are unhappy. But that's true for every company. The average seller rating is considerably higher. But as you say, they don't have many ratings and therefore their rating probably isn't a good indicator.

  16. Well I never got my order from megatoners that I ordered Dec 13th. They said they would reship my order. I told them only to reship it if they were going to use express or overnight. They replied with, we will issue a credit back to your card. So here i am with no carts after 25+ days and my current carts are almost empty. I still have to find some place reliable and cheap to buy from. I have a email into blank-cd-cdr.com right now, so I may try them next

Wow! You really had a bad experience! Thank God my neighbor takes in my mail when I'm not home during the day.

    Try these places:
    http://www.inkgrabber.com/printers.mhtml?search_for=Stylus%20Photo%20R200

    http://www.inksite.com/printersgrid.php?PHPSESSID=bc0e683f63f1f9fadcbddf4b30129808&For...lus+Photo+R200

They're more expensive, but they're an option. Good luck.

As long as you don't leave your printed items out in the sunlight, they should be OK.

Tests have shown that fading occurs with exposure to air and doesn't require sunlight. Tests also show that many third party inks, even those that look as good as Epson ink, have very poor longevity in comparison.

I've been using non-oem ink for years for my older HP printers, and everything I've printed still looks good. Will it last for 50 or 60 years? I don't know. I do know I keep my stuff out of sunlight - and they're not locked in airtight containers, etc. Sunlight will cause fading a heckuva lot faster than air, I can tell you that much.
