Hiya guys, my mate has just bought a new tv - and he is having viewing problems - here is a description from him, if anyone can help that would be great:

"When the screen is panning from left to right and back again there seems to be a wave effect on the screen, this appears to happen more apparent when its in Panasonic Auto Aspect mode, when it switches itself to 'Wide' mode the affects are not so bad.. Also on the right hand edge of the screen say 3 -4+ inches towards the centre of the screen he picture looks stretched, i.e. the picture is trying to be sucked of the side of the screen so when there is a straight edge it looks like its leaning over slightly......"

  2. Don't use Auto aspect mode. Select widescreen or normal 4:3 manually from the remote depending on what is being shown.

just told him, and he said that he'd tried that already and it still done it but just wasn't as bad, but was still there.

  4. Suggest he turn off/disable all fancy processing functions (like 100Hz. sharpen etc) and see how that looks. If the problem goes away but the picture is not so good, turn them back on one at a time.

Or return the set for one that works properly!
