tv out audio problem

hi,

i am using windows 98se, media player and powerdvd software. have an anime collection. disc 1 and 2 play fine on the computer to the tv. disc 3 and 4 audio comes out on the tv with a lot of interference. unhooking the audio jack from my laptop, the audio sounds perfect from the laptop speakers. again, only for disc 3 and 4. is there something wrong with the discs themselves or some setting in the software? please help. thanks! ^_^

hi,

looks like i solved my own little problem. sliding the audio balance to either left or right in media player removed the distortion. anyone have a technical explanation why? thanks!
