    Hi

I have mpg file I like to convert to DV Avi for more easy editing in Premiere. The mpg file details :

    Taken from VCD.

    Frame size : 240 x 352
    Fps : 29.97
    Length : 1:03

    Now the premiere project settings:

Editing Mode : Video for windows
    TimeBase : 29.97
    Compressor : None

In the export dialog box I set this up :

File Type : Microsoft DV Avi
Fps : 25 (cant change it)
    Frames size : 720 x 576 (cant change it)

The final file is out of sync and jumpy.

    Please help.
    Thanks
    D

You need to change your settings from PAL to NTSC. Don't ask me where in Premiere, but that's what you need to do.
    If in doubt, Google it.

It should allow you to change the fps as well, because 25fps is a PAL setting. NTSC is 23.976 or 29.976.
    If in doubt, Google it.

I use Premiere 6.0, you don't say what you use...

When I open Premiere, I get an option to choose project settings, you need to go for:

There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.

    Carpe diem.

If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room.
