I've been having problems playing Mpeg2 files with the media player. I have installed both PowerDVD and WinDVD, but media player still doesnt find the correct decompressor (although both programs play Mpeg2 just fine). I installed the Elecard codec and that fixed my problems, but since the codec is a trial version, I get a square watermark in the upper-right corner. Does anyone know how I could play mpeg2 files in mediaplayer without this elecard watermark (either another codec, or a way to get the cyberlink or WinDVD codecs to work with media player)???
Thanx,
Strep

Click the 'Tools' link to the left and scroll down to 'Codecs'.
I haven't tried it myself, since that little 4 square logo doesn't bother me all that much.
