MINE IS THIS DAMNED XBOX...
I've spent more time fixing it than I have playing it. Screw you Bill Gates! This is not an exaggeration either. I have LITERALLY spent more time trying to get it to work. While you could blame it on me for modding it, the problem lies in the left-unaltered hardware and the no-cool design of the unit.
What about you? What have you got?
I had a computer like this once too. Trashed it.

Back when I used to make VCD's, I spent way more time capturing, experimenting, trashing and reading guides than I did actually watching.

One PC has the sides constantly off and is my guinea-pig for component testing - I only use it for surfing. My prized possession (another PC) is left untouched once I've finished upgrading it. It only has the bare minimum of software that I require and is kept in immaculate shape in terms of scandisks, defrags, AV/spyware/software updates and the like. It purrrrrrrrrs!
I've still got to get my XBOX chipped. I've heard it's not that hard and I've got instructions on how to DIY, but I'd prefer someone that's done it before to do it for me so I don't throw $300 AUD down the toilet. If in doubt, Google it. -
I spend more time using everything. I fix it if it doesn't work but most of my stuff works like it's suppose to most of the time. Cars, trucks, computer, PS2, XBOX, notebook, etc, etc.
I think one key to all of this is, I do not work on it if its not broken...you could not possibly believe how much fixing this has saved me from -

BTW, when I had my 1968 MGB, I worked on it every weekend to make sure it would work during the week.

My frickin P500 with W2K on it and my p233 laptop. Actually, they work fine up until my 4 year old or my wife mess with them, then there is stuff that just DOESNT work anymore.
on the P500, USB ports dont work worth a shit anymore. Before it use to handle everything fine. Now, nothing works.
When I was 16, got the 68' coup mustang. Before the ooh's and ahhh's, it was lime green and cost me $600. Give you an idea of what it ran like out of the gate. My friends called it the bondo mobile. Did a massive amount of redneck repairs on it. The passenger side floorbaoard had rusted out. Got some sheet metal (at least that is the way I remember it) and some plywood and remade the section of floorboard. Also used some paint stirrers to hold some other areas of it together.
My next car was a 65 ford fairlane. Codename, the blue bullet (friends called it the blue box). had some shit engine in it, so I ripped that one out and squeezed a 351 windsor into it (tweeking the shock towers). The gas tank had pinhole leaks in it, so I got some metal screws, put some glue on the screws and a plastic strip and screwed the screws into the holes. -
The 1986 Porsche 944 that I sold last March.... Had that thing 5 years and everytime I took it out of the garage from winter storage, 2 weeks later sonething broke in it... EVERY YEAR!!!

I am supposed to be a carpenter by trade(I have been called Multicrafted Journeyman on paper too) but setting up a router kind of pisses me off. 15 minute setup for 30 second cut! Hell I carry four different routers in my van each one set up different and I guarentee that the next time I need to use one I will need a different set up than what I have!

I think microsoft (or the company that made the game) ould even send you another one if you sent them an e-mail and the old game back
Also if you are not wanting to use xbox live the xbox can be modified without even opening it up at all (no warranty stickers broken) -
