  1. Has anyone had problems with VERY bad interlacing problems while recording with a ATI All in Wonder Pro? It is very weird I have never had this kind of problem before and now I have very bad lines showing up on any moving object. Also is there any kind of hacked drivers for my card that will give me more options when recording?

  2. make sure the 'deinterlace' box is checked in the custom settings

(use MMC 7.1 if you're not already)

  3. If I'm burning a VCD that will mostly be played on a non progressive scan DVD player, will it hurt to deinterlace?

  4. if you're making a VCD, it's MPEG-1, which is predominantly a progressive format, so it'll look better if it's deinterlaced. since most of my projects now go into (near) realtime SVCD format using ATI AIW 128 Pro, i tend to deinterlace everything, even MPEG-2. at least using the ATI software, i think it looks better in general.
