I have an xvid file that comes with .idx and .sub files, which contain Chinese as language 1 and English as language 2. If I burn both files and the avi onto a dvd+rw, the player doesn't recognize the .sub file as a divx subtitle file. But if I convert the sub to srt, I can get the english subs to work. Is there any way for this player to work with the chinese subs?
Also, I notice my subs are played in the bottom black letterbox portion of the video. This is fine for 4:3 letterbox display, but on my 16:9 if I use the stretch feature on my HDTV the bottom line of subs will be cut off. Is there any way to adjust my .srt file so the text is displayed higher?
