I now use Tmpgenc to encode to dvd-compliant mpeg. I need a program that will batch author several groups of files (each group contains two dvd-compliant mpegs) with really good video quality. I don't need menus. In fact, I tried GUI for dvdauthor and I couldn't figure out how to not use menus. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

-Oh by the way. This is a key................

    1.) Quality is a must.
2.) It must be able to do two files into one dvd.......not all files into one dvd.
3.) I must be able to batch author.
4.) I dont care how long it takes.
5.) And all files must be dvd-compliant.

    Thanks gentlemen.

I've tried to think of any software that can be controlled by CLI (cos you could easily set up a DOS batch file to control everything for you), but I can't think of any and this seems like the only way ATM. Also, You could probably do it this way with any authoring app I would think (running several instances, that is).
    If in doubt, Google it.

    @ Dilemma

So I take it that you are *not* a programmer in any language or scripting ??

Because, as the above users' posted/suggested, you could rig up a scrip or
something. I Don't think that this is too challenging, and there is a C++ DLL
that someone created for just this example, and made it easy for everyone
(and anyone) to use in their programming language (ie, be it C++ or Delphi
or vbasic even VBA) but I don't remember the name. I think it starts some
thing like dvdauthor.dll or something I don't know. Anyways.
    .
I've ben meaning to concock something of my own, but I'm so damn lazy
these days, and there are many people here who *do* create (and continue
    to create) such tools
    .
I think that if you ask the developer of dvdauthorgui (or the other one) about
incorporating such a feature, I can't see why it wouldn't be done.
(but I can't speak for the developer)

  7. If you do not want a menu, simply set the pause for the main menu to 0 seconds and use the Post action: jump title 1; (or jump titleset 1 menu; for multivts - Use Titlesets=on)

These settings can be done in the background dialog (right click on the menu background)

If you do not want to see the buttons, use a black background, black colored text and 99% tranparency.

If you do not want to see anything (0 seconds is ~ 1/10 second on most dvd players), you have to tweak the author.xml file. Send me a note if you need further help.
