Does anyone know how to reset/over-ride the dvd region codes on a medion pc.

Any help gratefully received in advance?

right click on the drive then properties...hardware tab...select you drive again then properties...should be under there. careful though you can only change the region so many times

Thats the problem as I have a large collection of both region 1 and 2 dvds
and I'm down to my last two changes. So I need to reste it if possible.

do you know what the brand of your dvdrom or dvdburner is? some dvdrom and dvd burners are able to have region free setting with a firmware hack applied to them. do you have dvd region killer installed on your computer? dvd region killer will fool the operating system so you won't have message saying you can only change the region setting 5 times. but your dvd burner or dvdrom also must be region free in order to work with dvd region killer.

Yep, either use software from the Region Free Tools section in the Tools section, or find a hacked firmware for your drive.

Either that or convert your movies to region free and leave the region of the player the same.
