help with 3 files on van helsing disc

i have van helsing dvd and it locks briefly 3 times as it starts a new section then plays fine until it reaches the end again. i have tried re ripping with dvd decrypter but it wont read over the pause and i have tried dvd2one but that shows 3 files all of approx 40 mins each is there a way of getting this disc to run smoothly, any help would be appreciated....thanks

If you have a defective DVD you should return it for a replacement.

When you say "re-ripping" do you mean you are re-ripping your original DVD, or re-ripping your copy?

Is it your original DVD that is locking three times, or is it your copy?

it is a copy that is locking up but when i use dvd2one it shows three sections of approx 40 mins each and the lock up happens at the end of each section. what i would like to do is connect all three together to provide a flawless copy if this can be done...cheers

Sounds like something happened when you backed up the original. Best bet is to simply re-reip from the original then try to splice everything back together.

If the original is lost/broken/defective, better to just take it back and ask for a new one.
