VAN HALEN AND DAVID LEE ROTH ANNOUNCE NORTH AMERICAN TOUR
HISTORIC CONCERT TOUR MARKS FIRST OF ITS KIND FOR VAN HALEN IN 22 YEARS
    LOS ANGELES, CA -- August 13, 2007
Beginning this September, in what promises to be the most exciting live tour this year, Van Halen will embark on a national concert tour throughout the U.S. and Canada with its original lead singer David Lee Roth for the first time in 22 years.

Considered by fans and media alike as one of the most highly anticipated tours in rock and roll history, Roth, guitarist Eddie Van Halen and drummer Alex Van Halen will perform with Eddie's son, Wolfgang who joins the line-up as the band's bass player. Van Halen and Roth have not performed or recorded together since 1984's classic multi-platinum album 1984 and subsequent tour, making this tour truly a historic event.
I have to say that was one of the best concert bands I ever seen (with Roth that is)
I'll try too see the reunion tour if I get a chance.
Hopefully, they'll come out with a new record with Roth. Then again they're most likely skipping the recording sessions and going straight for the concert because they need money. They don't really make that much from record sales. No one would go see them in concert with out Roth as the singer any ways.

  2. Interesting comments Stiltman.

I will admit that a Van Halen right NOW without roth would be largely uninteresting. Although, in the late 90's I saw Van Halen with Hagar twice and both times I was very much impressed with them.

For nostalgia sake, I would enjoy going to see this tour but I would imagine the tickets are going to be retardedly priced. I can almost guarantee that they are going to try and ask for "rolling stones" money for the tickets.

they tried that a few years ago when they kicked hagar out. tried to do a cd with roth but he couldnt hit the notes as he use to, they then hired the lead from sublime i think the band was and made a cd. that was their first no hit cd and it flopped. they fired him and went on "vacation" eddie has been suffering a long time with a hip problem so they decided to retire. (how much money do you need lol) anyway. i cant see this working out.

I will say that i grew up with roth then made the transision to hagar. i liked hagar as a solo and van-hagar grew on me. van hallen will not be the same with roth if he doenst have the energy he had as a youth.(who does?) i think they should let sleeping dogs lie.

I always kind of thought that Hagar was a good replacement for Roth. I also kind of think that Hagar and Roth did better without Van Halen. There are some very large egos there, that is for sure, the thing is almost all of them were at one time or another worthy of that ego. I would like to see them maybe tone it down and take a step back and laugh at themselves. Yep, we are all getting older, but if any or all of them put their hearts into the music we could get a few more years of good times
IS IT SUPPOSED TO SMOKE LIKE THAT?

Any of you see a picture of "Wolfgang"? He looks goofy!
I saw Hagar w/ Van Halen and man they can rock! I bet they'll follow in the footsteps of the Rollingstones by rocking into their social security age!
