AC3

  1. Do you need a fast computer to play DivX videos with AC3 audio? It's a game trailer that I got a while back. I tried playing it in Winamp and DivX Player, but neither would play it. I tried playing it in WindowsMediaPlayer, and it sort of worked. It looked like the audio wasn't synced. I have the codecs from the DivX Player installed and Nimo's Codecs installed. I uninstalled Nimo and used GSpot to tell me if I had the codecs needed to play the trailer, but I didn't. It told me I needed a Dolby Laboratory AC3 codec. With Nimo's Codecs installed it says I have 3 compatible audio codecs but they obviously aren't working right :\.

    The audio plugin that is used (according to GSpot) is:
    (S) --> AVI Splitter --> AC3Filter --> TFM Audio Filter --> Morgan Stream Switcher --> TFM Audio Filter 0009 --> (R)

  2. Just get virtualdubMod and convert the ac3 to mp3 and select Direct Stream Copy for the video. That should solve it....

  3. I completely forgot about this post. I think my problem was that using NVIDIA Settings I forced all programs to Antialiasing filtering to 4x and Anisotropic filtering to 2x. That's not a very good idea on a Geforce 2 MX .
