  1. I have an HP PSC1350xi printer that I use to print out my labels for my dvd backups. I print on Meritline Glossy labels using Meritlines EZ label Xpress software. I have had the printer for over a year now and it has worked fine up utnil now. I cannot get the paper to line up right on the paper. It used to always space the paper down and then start printing the label. Now it just starts printing at the top. Even if I cut the top of the paper off it spaces down then. It is driving me insane!! I have tried printing the same label on the same paper with Acoustica cd labeler, Photoshop CS, and ClickNDesign labler and even Neros labeling software. They all won't line the image up right. I formatted my hard drive and reinstalled the printer drivers as well. I have called HP and they walked me through cleaning the rollers and cartridges and power cycling the printer but still it prints the label wrong. I have tried searching the net and this forum for someone with a similar problem but to no avail. I could really use everyone's advice and opinions on this please. I hope this is enough info.

What you need to do is simple.

    1. Unload the drivers for the printer and HP Director Imaging stuff
    2. Reboot the PC
    3. Unplug the USB cable or turn off the Printer works either way
    4. Install any updated drivers from HP for that PSC under the OS
    5. Follow the Onscreen when to turn back the printer on or plugin USB cable
    6. Wait until everything is installed
    7. Reboot the PC
    8. Try it now

If it still doesn't work then it hardware related. You can pickup HP PSC 1210xi for under $79 bucks it doesn't have those Smartmedia, SD, Compact Flash inputs yours have but it's still a darn good printer. I know I have one!
