As of some mysterious reason, Premiere Pro can no longer import m2v files without getting frostbites.
Its simply crashes, and others its just unusable as there is approx one minute delay when u forward the timeline marker.
I installed and unistalled lots.
I installed Premiere 6.5.
I cleaned up the registry with a registry cleaner.
Any ideas?

Premiere isn't designed to edit Mpegs. You can install MainConcept Mpeg Pro. It is a plugin for Premiere Pro and will let you edit Mpegs easily. I've done a couple of projects with it and it works quite well. I believe there's a 30 day free trial you can download.
Got my retirement plans all set. Looks like I only have to work another 5 years after I die........
