  1. newb here... just wondering if this is possible...

i have the intro to The Lion King movie from disney on avi. the scene is all the animals gather around to see the birth of simba. they all look up at the ledge and the monkey holds simba out over the ledge for all to see.

my question is, if i have a baby picture, can i somehow edit the baby picture over simba's image so that instead of the monkey holding out simba, he's holding out a picture of a baby.

is it possible to do this smoothly? can i do it with freeware? or is this something i shouldn't even touch? any help would be great!

Yes, you can do that. It woud be a piece of cake in a good video editor like Premiere, but it costs money.

You could try Wax2. It's a free advanced video editor that supports multiple track overlays and transparencies. I won't give you a step by step, but basicaly you can edit the image in Photoshop. Delete the background leaving only the baby then save it as a psd with transparency. You would then overlay it on the frames you want it to appear. You can resize it and use the 3D Object filter to move it into position. You'll have to play around with it untill you've got it the way you want, then output to avi.

Is this your baby or Grandchild?

It sounds like an interesting project. If you can't do it, then post a picture of the baby here. you can post a picture up to 150 kb. Crop it so that it's mostly just the baby. I don't have Lion King, but if I can borrow it, I'll rip the opening sequence and see if I can create the effect for you. Maybe I can upload a WMV file for you.

If I can't get it done, then maybe somebody else would take the challange.
